The Great Alabama 650 Paddle Race Challenges Competitors to 10 Day Race

The world’s longest paddle race will soon take competitors on an epic adventure through the state. The Great Alabama 650 is known as the toughest paddle race in the country. From rushing whitewater to the ambling river delta, the race will go throughout the Alabama Scenic River Trail which is the longest river trail in a single state.

 

The 650 mile paddle race begins at Weiss Lake and end at Fort Morgan in Mobile Bay. Racers have 10 days to complete the course and earn a prize of more than $22,000. Director Greg Wingo says this race will challenge the most experienced paddler.
