Cedar Bluff Police Chief Announces Retirement

After more than 25 years of service, Cedar Bluff’s police chief has officially announced his retirement. The announcement of Chief Steve Walden’s retirement was made during the town’s special called meeting of the council. Walden says he plans to remain in the Town of Cedar Bluff and help whenever he is needed.

 

Following his retirement, Chief Walden plans to spend more time with his family, and enjoy more time fishing. The chief’s last day serving the town will be September 30th. A replacement for Walden’s position has not yet been named.
