New Botanical Garden Coming to Noccalula Falls

A project that sparked conversation nearly four years ago is finally becoming a reality at Noccalula Falls Park. A new botanical garden is ready to be built at Noccalula Falls for residents and tourists to enjoy. The old garden needed a tremendous amount of work done and a new design for the garden had been created years ago but funding to bring the design to life was just not there.

Park Supervisor, Christina Richardson is excited to see the outcome of the new garden. Richardson says the old pathway to the former garden was rocky and dangerous, and will be replaced by a concrete pathway. The construction ground work is expected to be completed by next month, just in time to prepare the holiday lights.

In the springtime, the landscaping staff will fill the garden with plants and a ribbon cutting ceremony will be held.
