Sylacauga Man Pleads Guilty to Attempted Child Enticement


A Sylacauga man will spend the next ten years of his life in prison after pleading guilty to Attempted Child Enticement. Jerry Hamilton, Junior was charged with one count of Attempted Coercion and Enticement of a minor in 2018.

Court documents show that Hamilton was communicating with who he believed to be a 15-year-old girl on several different dating and chat apps in October 2018. However, he was actually communicating with an undercover detective. Hamilton was arrested after the two agreed to meet up.
