AT&T Southeast Region Employees Pushing Against Unfair Labor Practices

More than 20,000 technicians and customer service representatives for AT&T’s southeast region are taking matters into their own hands after the company was cited for unfair labor practices.

 

Members of the Communications Workers of America filed unfair labor practice charges with the National Labor Relations Board, alleging that the telecommunications company failed to bargain contracts in good faith, while also sending representatives without authority to make decisions to the bargaining table.

 

Other employees who maintain and support AT&T’s residential and business telecommunications network are also on strike in nine states including Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi. CWA District three Vice President, Richard Honeycutt hopes members’ concerns will be addressed by AT&T and a solution is meet soon.
