As you prepare to head into the Labor Day holiday weekend, it’s important to remember the new traffic laws going into effect. The Anti-Road Rage Law will go into effect September first. Making it illegal for a driver to stay in the left lane on any Alabama Interstate for longer than a mile and a half unless you are passing another vehicle.
However, there are some exceptions. This law won’t apply to drivers in traffic congestion, construction, or using a left lane exit. Once the Anti-Road Rage Law is in effect, a 60 day grace period will be in place where drivers will only receive a warning.
