One local non-profit organization kicked off its annual fundraising campaign by going “back to the future” to remember all the agencies the campaign has helped over the years. United Way of Etowah County has big plans this year. To raise more than $1 million for the agencies in the community.
The theme for this year’s campaign is “back to the future.” Former campaign chairs were brought back to help raise funds and remind people how much this fundraising effort will help communities across Etowah County.
United Way focuses on agencies that specialize in education, health, financial stability, and the safety net. Board Chair Tena King believes it’s important for the community to have these agencies available to them.
