Anti-Road Rage Act Goes Into Effect September 1st
As you prepare to head into the Labor Day holiday weekend, it’s important to remember the new traffic laws going into effect. The Anti-Road Rage Law will go into effect September first. Making it illegal for a driver to stay in the left lane on any Alabama Interstate for longer than a mile and a half unless you are passing another vehicle.
However, there are some exceptions. This law won’t apply to drivers in traffic congestion, construction, or using a left lane exit. Once the Anti-Road Rage Law is in effect, a 60 day grace period will be in place where drivers will only receive a warning.
