High Point Spur Trail Now Open at Cheaha State Park

Tourist and residents in the area will now have a closer connection to the Pinhoti Trail through a state park that marks the highest point in Alabama. The Pinhoti Trail is one of the longest trails in the state that runs 130 miles across Alabama and an additional 100 miles across Georgia.

The High Point Spur Trail has been established as the connector from Cheaha State Park to the Pinhoti Trail. The connector is marked with unique white marks and Park Naturalist Mandy Pearson says this is a another great way to better serve hikers, residents, and guests.
