President Trump Announces Grants to Fight Opioid Crisis
President Trump has announced grants to help fight against the nation’s opioid crisis. $1.8 billion in grants will go towards confronting and improving the epidemic. Half of the money will go directly to states and U.S. territories and the other half will go to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention to improve tracking and overdose deaths.
Last year, opioid overdose deaths in the U.S. dropped for the first time in decades and President Trump believes Americans will be amazed by the results of the new initiative.
