"Ready to Work" Mobile Program in Cherokee County
A free program filled with the necessary skills to become a valuable employee in today’s work environment will be available for Cherokee County residents to take advantage of for three months. The Cherokee County Chamber along with East Alabama Works and Gadsden State have partnered with Alabama Industrial Development Training to bring the state’s Mobile Ready to Work Program to Leesburg.
The program teaches time management skills, problem solving, critical thinking, and more. Inside the mobile unit, three four-week classes will be taught under the “ready to work” curriculum. If you complete a class, you will earn the ACT National Career Readiness Certification and the Alabama Certified Worker Certification.
Gadsden State Cherokee will conduct the classes and provide instructors. Brady says there will be an official event for people to come out and learn more about the Mobile Ready to Work Program. Visit www.EastAlabamaWorks.com to find out more information on the ready to work program and more.
