General Mills Recalls "All Purpose" Flour

General Mills has issued a voluntary recall on its “all purpose” flour for possible E-coli contamination. The Gold Medal Unbleached All Purpose Flour 5lb bags stamped with a “best if used by” date of September 6th, 2020 has been recalled. According to General Mills, no other bags with other dates are affected and no illnesses have been reported linked to the recalled product.

 

This strain of E-Coli, O26, usually sickens people within three to four days of exposure according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. If you have this product in your home, please throw it away or return it to the store of purchase.
