2 Women Charged with Theft of Property and Burglary in Cherokee County

Two women are behind bars for burglary after an alert Cherokee County resident noticed suspicious activity and reported it. According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, Sonya Price of Fort Payne and Saundra Goodwin of Gaylesville burglarized a home on County Road 99 in the Broomtown Community.

Deputies responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle in the driveway of a home. When they arrived, deputies noticed no one was inside the vehicle and the home had been burglarized. Stolen property was also found inside the vehicle.

Price and Goodwin were located and arrested on third degree burglary and theft of property charges. They are both in the Cherokee County Detention center on $5,500 bond each.
