No Charges Filed Against Parent Who Left Twins in Hot Vehicle in Oxford

Thursday, October 3, 2019

During a press conference held today by the Oxford Police Department, Chief Bill Partridge announced that as a result of a thorough investigation, the department will not file criminal charges against the father who left his 11 month old twins in a vehicle for hours at Sunny King Honda Dealership last month.

The twins, a boy and a girl, were rushed to Regional Medical Center, where the boy passed away. Chief Partridge revealed that the father is an employee at the dealership and it was not his ordinary route to take the children to daycare. During the investigation Partridge also says that an in depth background check into both parents was conducted as well as information from both parents’ electronics were downloaded and investigated where they found no evidence of intent to hurt the children. Partridge believes that this was a tragic event for everyone involved.

Chief Partridge says that the twin girl has since been released from the hospital and is doing well. The case now heads to a grand jury who will decide if any charges against the father will be added.
