Jacksonville High School Consequence Warning During Homecoming Week
This week is homecoming week for students at Jacksonville High School and although this is known as a fun time for students, the Jacksonville Police Department wants parents and students to be aware of the dangers and consequences behind some of the junior and senior war pranks. Police Chief Marcus Wood urges all parents to know where their child is and what they are doing during the late nights or early mornings during this week.
Although this is a fun time and often known as a “tradition” chief Wood says it’s also against the law to roll yards. It is also against the law to throw eggs or use shaving cream on cars. Students can be charged with Criminal Littering or Criminal Mischief if get caught doing these pranks. Wood says that not everyone likes the idea of the prank wars and just because their classmates are okay with it doesn’t mean their parents are.
