St. Clair County Former Corrections Officer Charged with Drug Trafficking

A former St. Clair prison corrections officer has resigned after being arrested on Drug Trafficking Charges. 26-year-old Ivan Caldwell was recently booked into the St. Clair County Jail after a vehicle search revealed that the former corrections officer had packages of methamphetamine and heroin.

 

Caldwell is being charged with Promoting Prison Contraband, Drug Trafficking, and Violating a Pistol License. He was booked and released from the St. Clair County Jail on a more than $12,000 bond. Caldwell had worked for the prison system since 2017.
