Pet owners living in Piedmont city limits will now have to obey new rules regarding animal control. According to WEIS Radio, city council members recently voted unanimously to adopt a 13 page ordinance on animal control that strengthens current rules related to pets and livestock regarding animal attacks, cruelty cases, vaccinations, and more.

If an owner violates the new rules, there will be a maximum fine of $500 and/or up to 90 days in jail.
