U.S. Senate Unanimously Passes Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture Act
The United States Senate has unanimously passed the Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture Act. A bill that will make animal cruelty a federal felony.
According to WEIS Radio, anyone who intentionally causes bodily harm to any animals, including birds, reptiles or amphibians, will face fines and up to seven years in prison. The bill now awaits President Donald Trump’s signature.
