Toomer's Corner Vandal Increases Restitution Payments

The University of Alabama fan convicted of poisoning the trees at Auburn’s Toomer’s Corner has increased his restitution payments. Harvey Updyke has paid more than $3,000 in court-ordered payments since an October hearing where prosecutors threatened to have him jailed for failure to pay.

In 2013, a judge ordered Updyke to pay about $800,000 in restitution for killing the trees with herbicide.
