AL Parole Hearings and Postponed
State prison parole hearings have been postponed due to Governor Kay Ivey’s order to shut down non-essential businesses and limit gatherings in an attempt to slow the spread of the coronavirus. According to WEIS Radio, The Alabama Bureau of Pardons and Paroles canceled all 172 hearings previously scheduled through mid-April.
Parole hearings, which are held in Montgomery, are normally attended by family members, friends, and representatives of crime victims as well as inmates from across the state. The hearings, along with pardon request hearings, will be rescheduled at a later time.
