Open Spaces, Sacred Places Coming to Cahulga Creek Park

The City of Heflin is adding a peaceful pleasure to the area for everyone to enjoy. Cahulga Creek Park used to be one of Heflin’s best kept secrets, that was before the city completed a dog park and restored the garden area. The restoration project was made possible through the Community Foundation’s Susie Parker Stringfellow Legacy Project called ‘Open Spaces, Sacred Places. The area allows for the community to come out to enjoy the newly restored place, reflect, and enjoy the many other amenities the Cahulga Park has to offer. Perry says the official opening ceremony for the new spaces will be held sometime next month.
