Sandra Curry, Kacey Allen and Shawna Rogers pled guilty to attempted elder abuse in Cherokee County Circuit Court. An investigation found that a bedridden 84-year-old resident suffered about 100 ant bites during their shift on September 3, 2016. A Gaylesville man is behind bars regarding theft from his employer and selling stolen property. Centre Police Chief Kirk Blankenship says Mark Vickery was fired from a local business. After his employment was terminated, an inventory disclosed that there was a piece of equipment that was unaccounted for. Management was informed that the missing item was sold at another location in Cherokee County and then taken to Georgia. Vickery is charged with Theft of Property.
The Salvation Army is extending its deadline to drop off gifts for the children enrolled in their Angel Tree program. The original deadline for choosing a name from the tree and dropping off items was December 8th. A log truck overturns, causing three people to be hospitalized. Earlier today, a log truck rolled over near the intersection of Anniston Eastern Bypass and Coleman Road. Anniston Sergeant Webb says three drivers involved in the crash were taken to Regional Medical Center with non life threatening injuries. Marshall County Deputies say a woman is injured after someone drove-by and shot into her home. A homeowner on New Hope Highway in the Hebron Community said a black SUV passed by her home and fired multiple rounds into the home on Sunday afternoon.
